Layering necklaces is all the rage right now and it shows no signs of stopping any time soon! It is a great look that is extremely versatile and a fantastic way to express your personal style.
With a few tricks, your layered look can be on-point!
Start At the Top: A good rule of thumb is to start with the shortest necklace first and work your way down with the other necklaces for a graduated look. You might even try hanging your necklaces on a hook before you put them on to get that just right graduated look!
Go Horizontal: A horizontal piece is an eye-catching way to add balance to your layered look. It's also a chic way to add a personal touch if you have an engraved bar necklace in the layers.
Go Vertical: Adding a vertical piece elongates your look and can add a point of interest to the layers.
Get Your Sparkle On: Adding a pop of bling or diamond shimmer is always a good idea and it's a perfect way to brighten up your layers, particularly if you're focusing on daintier pieces as the sparkle will help it stand out!
Three is a Good Place to Start: The magical "rule of 3" in design works for necklace layering, too. If you're just starting out in necklace layering, stick to three necklaces. But for you more adventurous types, rules are made to be broken, right?
Mix It Up: Don't be afraid to mix or vary metals, textures, and shapes. This variety will add drama to your lovely layers!
Be Colorful: Add some color in your layers for a dramatic punch to the bunch! Colorful gemstones or colorful beads are flirty and fun.
