Mark Schneider is an artist in every sense of the word. His personal philosophy is to create jewelry as wearable art. His designs are known for their clean, flowing, fluid lines and striking simplicity.
Mark's passion for jewelry began in elementary school where he began collecting gemstones. Combine this passion and the fact that he is a third-generation jeweler, and you get the beginnings of the genius that is Mark Schneider. While studying art and jewelry design at California State University Long Beach, he discovered he loved working with clay and metal and transferred this love to jewelry design. And the rest is, as they say...history!
Mark Schneider's spectacular legacy stems from the fact that not only is he a consummate designer, but he is committed to being involved with every part of the jewelry making process, from conception to the finished product. Mark brings a fresh contemporary eye to the jewelry world. In bridal, he stepped away from tradition and created freeform and flowing engagement ring styles that modern brides love. And he is constantly in demand for custom designs.
Mark has the unique honor of being one of the few living designers to have jewelry on permanent display in the Smithsonian Institution Gem and Mineral Hall: a beautiful 12.11ct tanzanite gemstone platinum and diamond ring which exhibits the prized deep sapphire-blue color with highlights of intense violet. This incredible ring is the first piece of tanzanite jewelry accessioned into the National Gem Collection at the Smithsonian.
